And it runs on standard industrial voltage, so you’re not fighting with special wiring. This isn’t one of those slow-warming resistive blocks. It’s direct-radiant heat—built to hit your target temperature fast. Here’s the idea in plain terms: more watt density means the surface heats up quicker. We balance electrical draw against thermal output so it can plug right into your existing plant circuits. But there’s a catch. That concentrated heat means your cooling and airflow have to be up to the task. If the cabinet can’t shed the ambient heat, you’ll shorten the life of other components.
What it’s made of: quartz, coating, and a connector that just works
The core is a halogen-filled quartz envelope. Quartz handles rapid heating and cooling without cracking, and the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, even with repeated on/off cycles. We added a reflective coating on the back. It pushes infrared energy forward where you need it, so you get directional heating and less wasted heat. For termination, we went with an R7s connector. It’s compact, proven, and makes the unit a drop-in replacement in existing fixtures. It carries the current without creating hot spots, and the whole assembly is built to take vibration and thermal shock—because the shop floor doesn’t stay gentle.
