So we built something different. Our infrared heating painting system uses a shortwave halogen heating tube to deliver heat exactly where you need it. It’s all about fighting the physics of the cold. When the temperature drops, your body does what it has to—it shuts down blood flow to your hands and feet to protect your core. That’s why they go numb. This system flips that script.
The Power Behind the Warmth: A Quick Look Under the Hood
At the heart of it is a 2500W shortwave halogen heating tube. We designed it to run on 400V, which is standard in most industrial electrical setups. Why does that matter? Because the higher voltage means lower current for the same power. And lower current means you can use smaller wires, avoid voltage drop over longer runs, and get a much cleaner installation inside a crowded machine or control panel. The tube itself is just 300mm long. So it fits into tight spots without forcing you to completely redesign your equipment. It’s a lot of power packed into a small space, which means it heats up fast and throws out serious radiant heat almost instantly.
The Details That Make It Last
We built this tube with quartz, not regular glass. Quartz can handle the intense heat and the rapid on/off cycling without cracking. It stays stable, even when the filament is running hot to produce that shortwave infrared. And the halogen cycle? That’s the secret sauce that keeps the filament from getting black and dim over time. So the heat output stays strong and consistent, year after year. Installation is a breeze, too. We went with an R7s connector. It’s a simple, two-pin design that locks the tube in place securely. You just slide it in, line up the pins, and wire it up. No messing around with fragile solder joints.
The Real Payoff: Warming Your Hands, Not Just the Air
Here’s the magic. Infrared radiation doesn’t waste time heating the air. It goes straight to work, warming your skin and the tissue underneath. That direct warmth gets your blood flowing again, opening up those small blood vessels in your hands and feet. For someone standing in a cold aisle or by an open door, it means your fingers and toes warm up quickly. The numbness fades, and you get your dexterity back. Now, this is a powerful unit—2500W in a 300mm tube is a lot of heat. So you do need to plan your mounting and give it some breathing room. But if your machine already has a thermal management system, this just drops right in as the focused heat source you need. It’s about comfort, sure.
